Your Health and Wellness First

RODA is a dermatological laboratory founded in Barcelona by women. We unite Mediterranean botanicals with biotechnology, data science and our own dermatological knowledge base to create multi-action formulas that respect the skin and reveal its most luminous, healthy self.

RODA brings together the Mediterranean way of life, beauty in all its forms and intelligent technology. Versatile, effortless rituals, made for every skin, every gender and every age.

Genuine and transparent by nature: clinically tested ingredients, natural light in our imagery, and formulas that are vegan, halal and cruelty-free.

The Meaning of RODA

Roda is where our story begins, taking inspiration from the charming Mediterranean village near Barcelona where we vacationed. It's a place where childhood memories of seaside joy blend with the simple beauty of everyday life.

Rodar, the Spanish verb, means to circulate, and evokes the circular economy and sustainability that we advocate in our local business structure.

Roda has also a nautical connotation. It is the tip of the boat, the stem, that beats on towards the future.

Our Founder

The story of RODA began when Marta, our founder and CEO, was working in San Francisco for a drone and aerial intelligence company. She sensed the potential of applying data technology to make a positive impact on people’s health and skin. Upon returning to Barcelona, a renowned hub for biotechnology and pharmaceutical laboratories, Marta teamed up with her brother Virgili, the brand’s Creative Director, to launch RODA.

An engineer with more than twenty years of international experience in technology, Marta is an award-winning entrepreneur: a graduate of IESE Business School, École Centrale Paris and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, she has been granted scholarships by the La Caixa Foundation and the TIME programme, and was recognised by the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) of the US Consulate.

She loves yoga, dancing, travelling and learning languages. She speaks English, French, German, Spanish and Catalan, and is currently learning Arabic.
